Home buyers who love adventure, and the outdoors would surely choose to live in Oregon. The state has its own charm and attracts even non-residents of the state to go white-water rafting, horseback riding and camping. You can enjoy these great outdoor activities when you get your own home within the state. Before purchasing your Oregon dream house, it is best to check the current home loans programs you can apply for to get the lowest possible mortgage interest rates.

There are many things to consider before buying a new home. Many first-time buyers are stuck with many questions concerning the buying process, but an agency in Oregon makes things easier for everyone. First of all, mortgage rates must be understood well. This serves as the basis on how much you should pay every month until the completion of the loan. If you need help in the buying process, the Oregon Housing and Community Services Department (OHCS) will lend you a hand.

Anything a first-time home buyer needs to know about home mortgage rates, and mortgage refinancing will be supplied by the OHCS. The agency also offers loans at a below-market rate, which can be secured through the Oregon Bond Loan program, and allows the home buyers to obtain interest rates that are below the current mortgage rates for fixed-rate loans. To qualify the benefits of this program, home buyers must contact participating lenders for more details.

Another program to help you solve your home buying puzzle is the Homeowner Education Collaborative of Oregon (HECO). Home buyers will undergo a training course called "The ABC's of Home Buying." This program presents a wide view of the entire home buying process. One good thing about this course is that you will be dealt with by real estate professionals, and it is guaranteed that you will enjoy all the advantages this class can offer you.

Among the topics covered by the HECO classes are "how-to's" in looking for the most suitable house for you, fixing your finances, protecting your home, understanding your mortgage, making a smart housing decision and getting your loans approved.

This program might not be available in all areas but there a lot of similar programs that you can take advantage of. Most lenders can recommend some helpful programs to assist you in finally being able to come home to your own house in Oregon.
