My typical customers are multi-generational, mostly immigrant families who are very focused on home ownership.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
My initial consultation with the borrower might typically be a phone call or in person. At this point we discuss what their goals are for home ownership and how best to approach the process. We will discuss products and the pros and cons of each loan product to determine the best home loan.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
That the process is arduous, you have to put down a large down payment, and it takes a long time to close on your home.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Always complete a first time home buyer class as this is the first step to starting the correct way.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Seeing a happy customer complete the home buying process, especially when they were nervous and then seeing the dream a reality.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I wear a lot of hats; in addition to lending, i also am a national trainer for a national non profit organization (NCRC) where i get to travel around the country and provide training to employees of non profit organizations and provide information that help them better serve their contiguous areas.
