Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
In most cases, my typical customer does have some knowledge about the mortgage process but can always use more education along the way. I always like to be in communication and to keep my borrowers educated during the entire process.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
A full picture of my customers current situation as well as their financial goals is key in finding the best loan option. With having so many different options available I wouldn't be doing an outstanding service without discussing and going over all important facts about the transaction.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
They cannot qualify with current credit and income. Not enough money for closing costs. The process is too long and strenuous.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Take notes and ask your mortgage professional questions that you may have.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I get the most satisfaction by getting families into their first home and becoming homeowners for the first time. I also get the pleasure of saving people money and helping people consolidate debt with cash out refinancing.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I enjoy mountain biking, hiking and reading.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
One of my first jobs as a kid was in a pool hall and know my way around the table very well. It's fun to surprise people when there is a pool table available for a quick game.
