Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
First time buyers. How much house can they qualify for?
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I tend to focus on payment and strategizing to get the best mortgage product to fit my customer's goal.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
Many young people underestimate how much they'll need to save to buy a home. Most are surprised with how much house they can "afford" but have not saved up enough to get there. Also, folks know naturally how much home they qualify for. It's so funny when I tell a customer the payment for the house they're looking at is almost exactly what they were expecting! I love when people have really thought it out. That's the kind of buyer who ends up having a great experience.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Call my cell phone and visit my website, of course! Seriously though, I am a open book when it comes to the lending process. Just ask!
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I LOVE seeing customers enjoying their homes (on social media). Knowing I was a big part of their life's goal is immensely satisfying.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
My passions include: Tennis, Cruising the beautiful lakes around Phoenix on my 18' Chaparral, Raising healthy happy kids, Meeting new people to talk about their home ownership goals!
