Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My customers have ranged from first time buyers, baby boomers and retirees settling in their last home. Most want to know how long the process will take, what will be our loan costs, rate and payment.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
My job is to really listen to what is most important for my customers and ensure they get it. We will go over all the options and together pick the loan that fits them best.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1) It has to be difficult and stressful
2) Borrowers worry they won't get the loan
3) A bank will give them the best deal
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Don't spend money at the bookstore buying books you will throw away after closing. Local libraries are full of free information. Email or call me with your questions. I promise not to pressure you as that is not my style. You will not be a burden to me. I would love to help you anytime and no question is too big or too small. Mortgages are what I do and I want to keep the process simple and easy for you.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I get the most satisfaction when a customer has closed and they smile and thank me for helping them. I am equally thrilled when they tell their friends and family to call me for their mortgage needs.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I am a perfectionist and am very crazy about how my house is decorated. The colors must all flow smoothly and match and I hate clutter. I also have a gorgeous parrot who can be loud at times. Drives my husband crazy but I love him. Both my husband and the bird.
