Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
All of my customers are very different in their own way. So the questions range from complex to super simple. The one common area that most focus on is credit and how it effects their buying power. So I tend to do some education in that area and they really appreciate it and use the knowledge to move forward.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
It's just about getting to know my clients. Figuring out what their financial goals are and where they want to be in 2, 5, 10, or even 30 years. It is really about the big picture!
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
I think the first thing is that people assume you have to have perfect credit. Does great credit help? Of course! But there is a lot more to it. Second, I think the common thought about a down payment is that is you need to have 20% or more. This isn't necessarily true - we have so many options available. The third misconception is that it is just so hard and time-consuming to get a mortgage. This too is not the case. We do everything we can to make it simple and seamless, and most people are surprised at how easy it actually is.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Seeing those faces on closing day, there's nothing quite like it! Helping people realize their dreams through home ownership is very special.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I enjoy socializing at get-togethers and attenting concerts and sporting events. I love to travel with family and friends.

I am super-duper social and will talk with anyone. I just love meeting people from all different backgrounds and places around the world!
