Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
There really is no such thing as a “typical” customer. Everyone has different wants, needs and goals. It’s my job to not only ask what those are, but, more importantly, to understand why they are important to my customer. Throughout the mortgage process, I take my time to answer each question that comes up in a clear and uncomplicated manner.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I think the most important step is to listen! I want to know what the customer wants to accomplish. Then we can discuss their current and long-term financial goals, their budget, and how long they believe that they will hold on to the property. From there, we mutually decide what loan product, payment, and term would best fit their specific needs.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
I believe that people think that 1. It is almost impossible to get a mortgage loan unless you have 20% to put down. 2. The process is long and difficult and 3. Its all about the rate. All of these misconceptions are what keep people from owning one of their biggest investments and wealth building tools. My job is to show people how to navigate through these misconceptions and achieve home ownership.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
I strongly feel the client should have access to the mobile application. Here they can track current interest rates, run various payment options. With this tool they are able to take control of the mortgage process and get answers to questions when they need them. This app will put them in control of the loan process!
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
The best compliment I can receive is a referral from one of my clients! I pride myself in providing the highest level of customer service to each of my customers. I take pride in my honesty and integrity, creating customers for life!
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I am a Lefty and although this is not 100% unique it does play to the advantage of my clients. Left-handed people use the right side of the brain and study's have found that these people tend to me more creative (think outside of the box), Intuitive and insightful.
In today's lending world everyone could use a person that is Intuitive, Insightful and that thinks outside of the box!!
