What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
The first step is to listen carefully to what my client's needs are. After confirming what they are looking to do, I explain the different types of loans (VA, Conv, USDA, etc.) available and figure out which one best suits them. After that, I what their expectations will be from me and my team going through the process. Once the client is confident in moving forward, we begin the collaborative process of applying for their mortgage. Periodically, I check in on the "pulse" of my client to make sure their needs are being met and see if any issues have arisen that need to be dealt with.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1. It is hard to purchase/refinance a home
2. Loan officers don't care about their client, only their commission.
3. It can take forever to complete a loan.

What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I enjoy helping clients with a very difficult, exciting, and trying time in their lives. For a new purchase, the process for someone outside of the business can be confusing. I like helping them navigate through the process easily and have a great experience where it could otherwise have been taxing. For refinances, I like helping clients to reduce their overall expenses or resolve what could have been a financial hardship. It makes me feel good when completing either type of loan.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
Fishing, golf, trivia, spending time with my family.
