Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My customers are from all walks of life and I pride myself in providing the best customer service possible. My experience in the entire home buying process allows me to be able to guide a first time buyer and also gives them a competitive edge to win an offer. My knowledge in the mortgage and lending guidelines allows me to provide alternatives ways to assist clients looking to refinance or buying their 3rd investment home. My passion to continue to improve and learn allows me to be up to date with current markets conditions and investor guidelines ensures that all my clients are well informed and given the great rate and products available today.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
To shut up and listen to their needs! Every client has unique goals which I will assist in achieving for them while also having challenges which I love solving! I will always provide many options and my professional opinions so the client is able to make the right decision for themselves.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
That it is hard, confusing and scary! Trust me, my job is to put your mind at ease and give you the confidence that you are financially ready and equipped with a pre-approval or even better, a pre-commitment letter to show the seller that you mean business!
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
I am blessed to have many trusted real estate agents who I have great respect and admiration for. The mortgage process is easy, its the entire home buying process which can be daunting. This is why having a real estate team of professionals who know each other and have the same work ethic is so important to a home-buyer's success in winning the offer to getting the keys at closing.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Making a difference in someone's life! This is a career in which I have a huge passion for and I love fighting for my clients and winning those for them!
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I admit that I am a workaholic. The first step is admitting it right?! But I love what I do and its easy to keep doing what you love. But my family always comes first and being able to spend time with my two young kids and my wife is a blessing that I do not take for granted.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I love cold showers!!
OK, some context.
Prior to having kids, my wife and I took a trip to Haiti to help repair water wells after a big earthquake there. It was my first time experiencing cold showers as there are no water heaters there nor clean public drinking water to be frank. After a long day, I still recall revealing to her on the trip that it was so difficult for me to shower cause it was so cold! I had to wash 1 body part at a time, one arm first, then the other arm, etc...She laughed at me and said you just gotta go for it.
Been going for it ever since!
