Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customers are first time homebuyers, move up buyers and investors purchasing a 2nd home or rental property. First time buyers especially appreciate my help navigating them through the pre-approval and buying process to clearly communicate the costs and monthly payment involved in buying a home. Move up buyers often have questions about leveraging the equity in their existing home and determining if they can buy a new home prior to selling their existing home, or coordinating a simultaneous close if that is necessary. Those buyer looking at 2nd homes and rental properties often have questions about down payment amounts required and loan options that best suit their needs.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I leverage my years of experience and knowledge of loan guidelines to offer the best options for each client. Listening to each buyer's needs and determining if the purchase is for a long term loan or shorter term period is key to matching the best program with each buyer.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
The main misconception is that there are many third parties behind the scenes involved in a successful closing that the buyer may not be aware of. Setting expectations on timelines and responsiveness is key.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
