Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a first time home buyer with payment anxiety and nerves of the entire process.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I pay careful attention to what they are concerned about and try to build the loan product around that.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
I think people are very afraid to have their credit pulled. They also have some misunderstandings about the funds to close and what is allowed. A lot of people also need assistance with what the escrow account means and how it works.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
I like to revenge all the loan terms and break them down as to what they are not familiar with. As we go through the process and go over credit and what their budget is for a home that guides me to the product that will suit them the best.
Are you active in any fundraising organizations? What goals and/or success have you helped them achieve?
I am the chairperson of the Waycross downtown develop board and board member of the Montessori School in Waycross. I have been a preferred lender with Ga Dream through DCA and love participating in many civic events.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
A happy customer who has taken a house and made it there own. A house turning into a home takes the human touch and walking a first time home buyer through the process is most satisfying.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I enjoy riding motorcycles with my husband. My husband played college ball, and so we are really into college football and baseball.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I love the renovation loans and the Ga Dream product. Most people find that a bit weird but I really like to help save the homes that need the TLC.
