How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I started in the mortgage business in 2017 with a desire to help borrowers understand, and not fear, the home buying and refinancing process.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
My advice would be to find a lender that will take the extra time to educate and demystify the home purchasing process. Playing the role of trusted advisor for buyers with little or no industry experience is an extremely valuable and rewarding job.
What can borrowers do to ensure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
Borrowers can help to ensure a smooth mortgage underwriting process by honestly and quickly disclosing the details of their finances. Trusting the judgment and guidance of your mortgage specialist and their team will help to move through the process as quickly as possible.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
When not helping clients with their loans I enjoy exploring the city of Chicago with my children with an aim to expose them to all of the attractions, historical, and educational opportunities available to them here.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
When I was 16 years old I pierced my ear with a safety pin after my parents wouldn’t give me permission to have it done professionally. It was extraordinarily painful and immediately got infected. This helped to reinforce that Mom always knows best.
