What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I like to ask questions of my clients. I don't believe in just putting a client into a loan. I like to see what their objective is with the home purchase so I can customize their loan to their situation.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Most people start their research online which is a great place to start. However, that information is generic and won't necessarily pertain to the client. I think it's extremely important for a customer to find an experienced loan officer that takes the time to ask questions about what the customer wants and someone that listens to them. It's also very important to find a loan officer that will be responsive to the clients calls, emails, and text messages. The client should leverage the relationship with the loan officer to get a good understanding of the mortgage process.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I get the most satisfaction out of my job by seeing the joy on my clients face at closing table or hearing the excitement in their voice when I tell them their approved and they are able to start the home search process! The home buying process is a big deal and I love helping people through the process!
