How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been working in the finance and mortgage industry for 7 years. I love to serve my customers and help them fulfill their dreams. Those dreams they have worked hard for.
Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
I have had the pleasure to assist many types of customers. First time home buyers typically ask me what lenders require and how to best prepare to buy a home. I take the time to just get to know them and their situation. I can give them options.
What are the pros and cons of a fixed rate mortgage versus an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM)?
You may find an Adjustable Rate Mortgage may be a better fit for you than a 30 yr. Fixed rate mortgage. They may sound riskier. Your situation may indeed be a good fit. If you are only planning on being in the home 5-7 years due to employment or looking towards retirement and this is not going to be your forever home. The interest and payments tend to be lower, and you may be more interested in saving your monthly out of pocket expenses This could potentially save you thousands. I have seen this be a benefit for some folks as you can generally afford a bigger home with the payments. The definite con here would be it is not a fixed rate. As the interest rates continue to rise, your monthly obligation, especially if you are not prepared, could put you in a bit of a “payment shock.” There are options with ARMs that could be fixed rate for a term. You can trust that I will give you options and present you with what I can see being your best options to choose from.

The greatest satisfaction for me as your loan officer is when we are at the closing table. I love to see the expressions and happiness on first time homebuyers, or new investment opportunities, the new dream home, or vacation get-away. What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
My family and I love the great outdoors! This area is chocked full of activities in all four seasons. You may catch me in camo in the mountains near here, or on our boat on Dworshak Reservoir fishing, on the four-wheeler trails, or sitting in a lawn chair outside the camper. Either place you spot me, it is probably out and about.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I am a lot about life and experiences. Several years ago, I was very ill and they really didn’t expect me to recover. They had found a brain tumor. Technology, a good attitude, and fabulous medical treatment programs saved my life. That was an eye opener for me. Every day and every moment matters. I found my passion for life and love. Family matters, you matter. Live, Love, Laugh has been my motto since.
