How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I’ve been in the mortgage industry for over 13 years and was first intrigued by the profession when going through the home-buying process. As a first-time buyer, I felt like the professionals I was talking to weren’t as interested in learning about my specific needs and goals, and I knew there was a better way to help people feel more comfortable about what could be a complex process.
How long have you been in the mortgage business? What awards have you won?
I’ve been in the mortgage industry for over 13 years. I’ve been a perennial top producer and President’s Club originator and have been named a Five Star Mortgage Professional for several years.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
Work with a knowledgeable and experienced professional that you are comfortable with and know you can trust. So many buyers prioritize rates above all and often end up in loan programs that aren’t the best long-term solutions for them.
What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it?
Often, the most frustrating and difficult part of the loan process for clients is the amount of paperwork that can be required for approval. Lenders have to do a lot of verifications, and one set of paperwork can sometimes warrant a request for more paperwork.
Constant communication with your lender is key so that everyone is on the same page and know what to expect throughout the entire process.
I strive to be available for my clients as much as they need before they find that perfect home, during the loan process, and well after closing.
Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
I’ve lived in Texas most of my life and grew up in Austin. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Finance, I chose to continue to live, work, and give in this great community that’s ever growing and evolving while maintaining its unique and ‘weird’ vibe.
