Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer is a first time home buyer. Typical questions I get are where do we start, what documents will they need, how much will they need to purchase.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I really like to get to know my clients, I also like to spend a little extra time on education so that we can have higher-level communication and that gives them the ability to make the best choice for their family.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1. That they will need to put 20% down.
2. That we are going to ask for an excessive amount of documents.
3. You have to have great credit to get approved.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Speak to a loan officer and develop a plan. Resources can vary from situation to situation and there is not really a catch-all.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Getting to be apart of the biggest transaction of a person life. A home is where a family will grow and have amazing experiences and I get to be there for the beginning of that.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I have 3 small children, all of my free time is spent with them and my wife.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I sing in a barbershop quartet.
