Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
I work with all types of customers from first time home buyers, to people who need to up-size as they grow their family, to savvy investors looking to grow their investment portfolio through real estate investment, to empty-nesters who are looking to downsize and everyone in between. What makes a loan originator successful is being able to get to know their customers, to delivering on what they say they will do and to build trust and rapport with any customer regardless of what their financing needs are.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
Finding the best loan program for each customer is key to being a successful residential loan originator. In order to accomplish this it is imperative that I sit down and really get to know you and understand what your needs are both from a home financing position but also what your needs are related to the rest of your financial life. It is critical that I build trust and emphasize a two way street as it relates to communication throughout the process.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
If I don't have 20% to put down I can't afford a house.
The process will be the equivalent to a financial enema.
My loan officer won't become my close friend and real estate confidant by the time its over.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I get the most satisfaction from knowing I have helped someone with what will, in most cases, be the largest financial investment that they will ever make. I take that responsibility very seriously and am always watching out for my clients best interests. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing other people happy once they close on their new home and realize that what was once a dream has now become a reality.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I enjoy spending time with my kids and watching them grow up. I also love spending time at our family cabin up in the beautiful Colorado mountains.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I am a fourth generation Coloradan and part of a large prominent Italian family in the Denver area.
