Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
Every customer brings their own unique scenario in my experience, but I serve everyone from first-time home-buyers to investors, as well as friends and family. Typically clients, especially first time buyers, want to know what the home-buying process is to start and what they need to qualify. Then, after learning the process and completing an application I'm answering questions regarding their mortgage payment, interest rate and loan terms. Finally, as you find a home to purchase, I will be there answering every question you have about the mortgage documents you will receive detailing your future mortgage.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
As an experienced loan officer I'm happy to be your main source of information to ensure a successful home closing. I typically work with a professional realtor that will also ensure a smooth close. There are also plenty of online sources with information such as the Department of Housing and Urban Development's website for new home-buyers.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I'm most satisfied when someone is surprised to learn that they have the ability to qualify for the home of their dreams. Many people don't believe they have the income, or cash necessary for a down payment, and I love finding a way to make the deal happen!
