Michela Griffin grew up between Rancho Penasquitos, Poway, the Bay Area, and Central California—finally making Ramona her home in 1996. Michela returned to the San Diego area in 1993 to finish her teaching degree, during which time she began working at a start-up mortgage company. Here, she was promoted through the ranks and earned her way to the position of Senior Operations Manager of the Western United States. Having worked extensively on the “backend” side of mortgages (processing, underwriting, and operations), Michela is uniquely qualified as a Loan Officer. This specialized knowledge, acquired through years of experience “behind the scenes,” helps Michela to educate and guide her clients through the daunting process of obtaining a home loan. Michela is not a sales person—her expertise is in serving and teaching people.
For over 20 years, Michela has remained dedicated to her clients and her work as a mortgage lender. She has helped thousands of families not only realize their dreams of homeownership, but also refinance their loans to save money. Many of the purchase loans and refinances that Michela has touched have been in Ramona, CA—her cherished hometown since 1996. Married with four daughters, all of whom have been raised in Ramona, Michela’s passions are faith, family, and finance. She serves on the Praise Team and in women’s and youth ministries at her church, is a board member of Christian Family Schools, and proudly sponsors The Special Liberty Project, a local nonprofit that offers fully supported hunting opportunities to military service members.
Owning a home is one of the largest financial commitments a person will make in their life, and many people easily become overwhelmed with financing such a huge purchase. Michela feels honored to walk her clients through this process and teach them along the way so that they feel confident in making educated choices about the options available to them. Michela believes in building long-term relationships—her clients are much more than just referrals, they become part of her family.
