How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
As a former collegiate football coach, I believe my work ethic and attention to detail will translate well into the business. I was inspired by a coach I worked with who is also my great friend, Jim Earl, to get into the business. Jim believed in me from the start, as he put in a good word for me at Guaranteed Rate where I started as an Operations Assistant in June of 2017. From there, I was fascinated by the business and wanted to learn as much as I could. Sabrina Edelhauser noticed my interest in all of the training courses and told me about the Liftoff Program that Guaranteed Rate had. With the blessings of Jessica Jimenez and Yadon Santana, I made the jump into the Golf Class where we blasted off in August of 2017
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
Enjoy the process! I want my customers to be comfortable over the entire time we are working together. Do not feel overwhelmed! The process could be intimidating but I will do everything in my power to educate my customers so that they feel confident in themselves that they are making the right decision.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
I want to be the customer’s number one resource! This is my career and so I believe it is my responsibility to be the most knowledgeable about the mortgage industry. I would love to make things as simple and as clear as possible for anyone who has a question or feels overwhelmed.
Summary of where you grew up: family, affiliations, college, high school, etc.
I grew up in Southington, Connecticut with an amazing family and great friends. I coached high school football in my hometown of Southington and I’m so grateful for all the relationships I’ve formed with the student-athletes, their parents, and everyone I had the chance to coach with. It’s hard to put into words how much the town means to me, but the community truly is a family.
