How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
The most important aspect of my job will always boil down to you. You are the reason I do what I do. My motivation is fueled by your needs and my duty is to help you to achieve your goals. It's that simple.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
The mortgage loan is the largest transaction most Americans will make in their lives and I am here, not only to advise on loan programs or options, but also to educate you on the process. I believe that knowledge is power and the more you know, the more confident you will feel throughout the progression of the transaction. I provide all first time home buyers with information not only on their loan options but also the mortgage transaction process in and of itself. I believe it helps to be aware of the flow of events, which occur throughout the time your loan is processing as it helps one to know what to expect.
What can borrowers do to ensure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
You are a huge determining factor when it comes the fluidity of your loan experience. If you are quick with responding to communications, quick to provide any additional documentation or information that is required, then you will be the true MVP. This is a complex transaction and the more you understand that you are part of the success of its completion, the more you will enjoy the process. Team work makes the dream work!
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
The most satisfying part of my job is knowing that I am helping people. The American dream is still alive and stronger then ever. I am happy knowing that what I do helps to makes those dreams a reality.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
My determination and diligence is not prevalent in the mortgage world alone. I am an adventurer by nature and am always setting new challenges for myself. In 2015 I challenged myself with the completion of hiking the Appalachian Trail, as well as the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. I am also a certified SCUBA diver and being originally from South Florida, I have been involved with several outdoor activities throughout my life. I continue to challenge myself by running in various races throughout the year as well. I find it important to not only challenge yourself mentally but also physically.
