Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical buyer is a first time buyer who is looking for a detailed explanation of the home loan process in layman's terms.
I also work extensively with repeat buyers looking to move up or buy investment properties.
I have a high ratio of repeat customers that come to me for refinance opportunities as well as buying additional property.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
The best way to help a customer purchase the right home for them is to find the right loan type for them. I like to offer at least three financing options so they can choose what fits best for their particular budgets
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
I find home buyers think that their credit has to be perfect, they have to have 20% down payment and that they will be tortured during the process!
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
When you start looking to buy please call me so that we can map out a plan. Do not hesitate to ask the questions that seem simple to you- it is my job to make sure you are prepared fully for the step in life called home ownership. I love getting to know each and every customer- it takes longer for some but I will always guide you through the experience and I will be here for your friends and family too.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Nothing makes me happier than seeing the look of pride on a home-buyers face- that look of pride knowing a new chapter is coming their way!
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I have two wonderful sons and 5 shelties. I love hanging out with my sons- one recently graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical and one who is studying Music. Two very different young men and two of my favorite people.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Having five shelties can turn some heads! Don't ask me how it happens because I still do not know! I was normal at three- but who wants to be normal!
