People who wants to buy their home but may have some unique challenges that they need to overcome during the loan application process.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
Every customer is different. I ask them a lot of questions to make sure I understand their specific situation and challenges. Based on their response and what they are looking to achieve, I would then try to find the product that fits the best for their situation.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1. You need to have a lot of money to buy a property.
2. The whole process will take a very long time.
3. There are only a few loan products available to choose from.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Start off by searching the mortgage process online and educate yourself. There are a ton of good articles and websites out there.
Then to get more specific, you can talk to a mortgage lending specialist such as myself.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Being able to utilize my finance and real estate knowledge, to help the customer to come up with a product that helps solve their unique challenge and help them realize their goal in real estate purchase or refinance.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
Following up the real estate market, I am also a real estate investor myself, and I enjoy checking and see what's on the market currently and is there any interesting opportunities. I also enjoy swimming and going to the beach.
