Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customers are every day folks who work hard and want to make the smartest choices as it pertains to their home and their mortgage. Customers want to know if you have their best interests in mind and if you and your team can deliver on the promises you set forth. I am very blessed to have a strong referral business based on word of mouth. I am happy to hold my customers hands through one of the largest purchases of their lives and because of my constant communication and accessibility people feel comfortable through the process and refer their family and friends.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I truly believe that all customers do not fit into the same box. I take a collective look at all of the information given to me and create several loan scenarios. My job is to explain all of your options in an easy to understand format so that my customers can pick the best loan for THEM not Bob and Betty who live down the street. I take into account my customers specific needs and goals to strategist with them what will be the best loan product for THEM.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1. They think that all lenders are equal.
2. They do not have enough money to put down or their credit isn't where it needs to be.
3. The process to buy a home is too long and tedious.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Your Lender and his/her team are the best resources for information and implementation. A solid team, including a great Realtor, is often the single biggest difference for those who have a positive experience compared to those who have a negative one.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Getting customers into a home cheaper and faster than they thought that they could before. Seeing customers of any age achieve their dream of home ownership.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I love to cook and entertain. I also love spending time with my family and love to vacation. I have along bucket list of places i want to see and things I want to do.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
I love my community and volunteering. I truly believe that giving back to our community pushes everyone forward. One of my favorite organizations to serve is CASA of the Coastal Bend where every May you can find me decked out in Superhero gear for their CASA 5K!
