Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My team deals with a variety of different types of clientele. From mortgage beginners to 4th time home buyers to investment gurus... All have a multitude of questions in which are typically related to time frame, rate, product type, closing costs, etc.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
From the first initial conversation with the borrower most times you can tell what type of product we will be leaning towards. As the preliminary process continues, you get to know your buyer and what means the most to them in the transaction. Once finding that important aspects, we guide them into what will help them meet that goal.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
Most people feel as though all banks and loan products are equal. They are misinformed that everyone's situation is different. The loan process is like a puzzle and it is my job to put the pieces together.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Knowledge is power. First time home buyers especially should do their research before finding a home. Go over your budget, establish good credit, and consult the professionals, i.e. realtors, mortgage consultants, inspectors and attorneys. This way there are no surprises and you can be prepared for the process.

What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
My goal for our clients is to help make a complex and stressful process seem easy and enjoyable! My team and I have an ever developing process and flow to be in constant communication with the borrower. We strive to always have someone available for our clients and their needs. Ultimately we want to hear when they close, that it was the easiest process they've ever experienced. Excellent customer service is key!
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
Health, Fitness, and most importantly ... Family Time!
