How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I work in the Renovation Department, so I get more questions than most. Most people don't even know these great loans exist. So educating them and their realtor on how we can make that diamond in the rough shine!
How has the mortgage industry changed since you started, and what would you expect in the future?
Homestyle! This is a conventional renovation loan, that follows normal guideline of a regular old boring mortgage. You still only need 5% down, and that money can be all gift. The only hard part about this loan is finding a good contractor. If you are thinking about a renovation loan, great! Find a contractor before you go out looking at houses.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
Doing renovation loans, it's really all about the contractor's bid. Contractors are great with hammers and nails, but in most cases, are not good with pen and paper. Letting me know what to expect upfront is always key.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
Getting a simple thank you from a customer. Knowing I helped them achieve the American Dream, if it be their first home or their last home.
Cooking relaxes me. Having all four burners going, and pie in the oven. Just make sure you stay out of way if your in my kitchen.
