What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
With the ever changing market, I will always use my loan resources and listen to you and your specific needs to help me find the best loan product for you. I will always provide as many options as I can to ensure you are given the options, as well as keep you in control of your loan through the entire process.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
The soundest advice I give a new or first time home buyer is the same as I will give my son when his time comes to purchase his first home - always think about the future. This could mean, don't take on more debt than you can handle or know your long and short term goals and expectations of this home and I'll help keep the process as realistic as I can. I want to educate them from the initial shopping of a home through the loan process and finally the purchase
What can borrowers do to ensure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
The underwriting process is all about telling a story. I think the most important steps to ensure a smooth mortgage underwriting process would be:
Provide any documents your loan team asks you for as quickly as possible, making sure the documentation is clear and legible
Do NOT purchase anything new on credit or allow anyone to run your credit
Do NOT deposit any cash to your accounts.
These items could delay or can even make your loan unable to be approved. Always talk to your loan team and give them the most information you can so they can provide you with options for keeping the transaction as seamless as possible.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I am a very health and fitness conscious individual so in my spare time, I love to do anything outdoors. I love to fish and hike with my family in Lone Pine. We also love to ride our off road vehicles in the desert and camp.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
In my 20s and 30s, I was in many body building competitions and to this day, I still train as if I am competing. At the age of 38 I entered my 1st powerlifting meet with my father and I broke an American record on the bench press while my dad broke a WORLD record on the deadlift. This is one of the most memorable days of my life.
