Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
Everyone is my customer, from the first time home buyer to the person looking to set up their finances to meet their retirement goals.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I dig into their short, middle, and long term goals to understand their needs and wants. With that information I construct the best loan options to meet their goals.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
That a 20% down payment is needed to purchase a home, they simply don't know all the options they have available to them. They don't understand the information needed, and why it is needed. They don't understand the timing of how long things take during the process.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
The most important resource, in my opinion, is a great loan officer (ahem). While the internet is great for providing information there is also a lot of misinformation out there. Sorting through all of that can be difficult and frustrating. I approach every customer with the heart of a teacher meaning that I want to take the time to educate you about EXACTLY what you are signing up for. With a thorough understanding of not only the loan process but the loan product customers find the experience a lot more satisfying.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Helping others navigate the mortgage minefield to successfully close their home loan and better their overall situation.
