My customers range from first time home buyers to someone buying their 10th investment property and everything in between.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
After taking an application and looking things over I visit with my clients to understand what it is they are looking. Once I thoroughly understand what the clients needs are I go over all the available options with them.
My goal is to make sure that everyone person I help get into a home understands the programs available to them and the process that will take place throughout the mortgage process.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1. That you have to have 20% down payment. You do not.
2. That they should look at homes before they get approved for a home loan. They should get approved first.
3. That it's like buying a car. It is not
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Many communities have home buyer education classes that can be helpful to someone buying their first home or even someone that has not bought a home in awhile as things have changed drastically over they years.
I always try to be a resource for my clients. There will be lots of questions and I always encourage clients to reach out to me with any questions at all.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Seeing people get into a new home! The smiles, tears of joy, hugs. It really makes me happy to make others dream of home ownership a reality.

I like to spend time with my wife and 4 children. I also like to fish, hunt, golf and scuba dive.
