I entered the mortgage industry after I bought my first house. It was an incredibly stressful experience and I was thoroughly overwhelmed. I thought "This is the biggest investment I am making" and I knew nothing about any of it.
In 1986, I got my real estate license and because I was also working in a bank, I asked to be transferred to the lending division. This was one of my best decisions ever. I got first hand experience on how to process a mortgage loan. I understand the "Whys" behind everything that is asked for during a mortgage transaction and explain this to my clients so they are not overwhelmed, like I was.
I am licensed in Illinois and Indiana and specialize in government as well as conforming and non conforming loans. I explore all options available to consumers based on their qualifications but customize their mortgage to their own personal needs.
My degree is in business management, which allows me to delegate when needed but also keep the entire process on track and close on time.
I grew up in Illinois but now live in Indiana. I have lived in the city, the suburbs and the country. Each one has its own benefits. I share this because there are things to consider when purchasing in each area that my clients might never have thought of.
In my down time, I enjoy entertaining, hanging out with my husband and twin sons, traveling, reading, antiquing and trying new things. I am blessed to be working at Guaranteed Rate. It's a great company that allows for personal time but at the end of the day, knows and does whatever it takes to "get it done" for the consumer.
