Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
I would say my typical customer is either a first time home buyer or someone looking to purchase their next home. Most typical question is how much is this going to be per month and how much cash do they need to make it work.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
I typically start backwards and work into the numbers. Sometimes people just want to know what the payment will be on the home they are looking for. I usually start with how much is comfortable to spend each month and work that into a purchase price. The last thing you want someone to do is fall in love with a house to find out it's way out of their budget.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
3 top misconceptions would be :
1. you need 20% down to buy a home
2. the process is impossible
3. you need perfect credit
