I speak with them personally and know the right questions to ask. By finding out their whole story, I can present the best options for their unique situation. You have to really understand a person’s situation as well as their short and long-term goals to uncover the best possible financing for their needs.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
1. Rate is everything! The worst question to ask is “what’s your rate?” The goal is to acquire the best possible financing option for your individual situation. While rate is important, there are instances where the lowest rate may not give you the best possible financing package.
2. I can get a mortgage in 8 minutes online! There is no “magical mortgage”. No one is going to deliver your mortgage in a day. It’s a process that requires documentation and teamwork between you and a group of professionals, like my team, to provide you with the best possible home financing for your unique situation.
3. I get better rates online! There’s a great deal of misrepresentation online. That 2.5% rate that you see online many times is just to get you to call. That sweetheart deal will likely disappear very quickly. And you never know what burger joint the person on the other end of the line was working at one month ago. Your mortgage is perhaps your most important financial decision.

What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
The most satisfying part of what I do is sitting at closing and seeing my clients and referral partners happy with their experience. Knowing that I was able to be a part of helping someone acquire their family's new home or assisting them in resolving a refinance situation, is my favorite part of what I do. It’s all about making people happy!
