Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
My typical customer ranges anywhere from someone who is purchasing a home for the first time or buyers who have bought a home in the past and are now looking for new home. Each buyer is unique and different and has their own set of questions and criteria that is most important to them. Most questions range from how much home can I afford to how much money is needed for the down payment.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
Misconception number 1, is you need 20% down or a big down payment to buy a home. In some cases, buyers may need as little as 3% down to secure a home mortgage.
2, is that you need perfect credit to get a mortgage. Good credit does help getting a mortgage but just because someones credit isn't perfect doesn't disqualify them from obtaining home financing. I work with all types of borrowers with all different credit backgrounds.
3, That the home buying process (especially for first time home buyers) is intimidating and even scary. One of my jobs as a experienced mortgage broker is to make the process seamless, satisfying and even FUN!! After all, the most nerve-racking part of this process can be obtaining your home loan. But it doesn’t have to be. Buying your dream home should be an exciting time for you and your family. My promise to you is to make your home purchasing journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
What provides the most satisfaction for me is being at the closing table after the buyers are done signing all the papers and the keys to new home are handed over to them. Seeing the joy and happiness they are exuding along with knowing I assisted in putting them in a affordable home mortgage makes my job even more rewarding and special.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time when you are not helping people with their home loans?
I enjoy hanging with friends and family, being outside enjoying the Chicago summer scene with music, restaurants and the beautiful lakefront. I also enjoy sports, travel and hiking and fishing.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
Something unique and wacky about me is that I am a HUGE RABID fan of the Italian national soccer team. I have traveled the world to watch my boys in blue or as they are affectionately called the "Azzurri" (which is Italian for the blue color of their jerseys) Italy, France, Germany, Brazil are just some of the countries I've traveled to watch my Italian national soccer team play. So if anyone calls and they hear screaming and yelling in the background rest assured it's only me celebrating another goal by my beloved Azzurri. Viva Italia!!
