How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it?
I have been in the business for 25 years as both a Loan Officer and Processor. I thought it would be exciting to help prospective homeowners obtain financing for their dream homes. I was excited to purchase my first home and I want to share my expertise with new homeowners to achieve their dreams.
What advice would you give new or first time home buyers?
I would advise them above all to keep their existing good credit as clean as possible. Do not charge any new items nor accrue any new debt. I would also advise them to bank as much money as possible that can be paper-trailed. In other words be conservative on spending so they have enough funds to close on their home.
What can borrowers do to ensure a smooth mortgage underwriting process?
If they can provide me with all requested documentation upfront before it goes to underwriting, the underwriter will have a clearer picture of their qualifications to ensure a Loan Approval with minimal conditions.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
I receive the most satisfaction when i know my clients are happy and excited knowing they will receive their keys to their new home that day.
Tell us something that makes you unique or something wacky, yet interesting about you?
The only thing I can think of that is wacky about me is a love to laugh, joke all in good clean fun. I am serious though in how I treat others as I try to follow the "Golden Rule" and treat others the way I want to be treated.
