Who is your typical customer and what questions do they typically have?
I definitely work with a wide variety of borrowers including first time home buyers, veterans, buyers looking to purchase investment property, a second home or vacation home, and experienced buyers. The questions asked often depend on the experience level of the borrower. I thrive on informing my clients with all of their options and helping them determine which product best fits their end goal.
What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
It is important for me to get my borrowers to complete our Digital Mortgage Application to ensure that I am able to consider all of the options for them. My team and I are experienced and have an extensive knowledge of products and programs to offer our buyers no matter how unique their situation may be.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
The biggest misconception is that you have to have 20% down. That is the furthest from the truth. There are so many financing options with lower down payment options as well as down payment assistance programs.
Another big misconception is that people think that their credit is not good enough to buy. Most of the time that is not the case and if it is, we can help you get where you need to be.
Lastly, many people think they cannot afford a mortgage. People think owning a house is so much more expensive than renting. When actually it is the opposite. I see people whose mortgage payment ends up being less than their rent was.
What resources could you recommend that borrowers use to learn more about the mortgage process and how to ensure a successful home closing?
Most people don’t understand why they need a real estate agent to help them search for the perfect home. Finding a great agent to protect, inform, and represent you is VERY important.
What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
The most satisfying thing to me is helping others and having happy clients. Buying or refinancing a home can be a stressful process. I try my best to establish a close relationship with borrowers, continuously communicate and gain their trust. I want my borrowers to feel that they can refer me to friends and family knowing that I will take care of them as well.

I am very passionate about helping others. You never know how far a simple gesture may go. I believe that you should ALWAYS "treat others the way you want to be treated".
