When my husband, a Navy Veteran, and I looked to refinance our home with a VA loan last year, we started the process with our then bank who claimed that they were experienced with VA loans. Unfortunately, the process dragged on with no end in sight and, ultimately, the bank admitted to several missed opportunities on our loan because they did not handle VA loans very often. I am a Realtor as well, and so knew the questions to ask and when to stand firm. We experienced six months of stress and chasing information before I was introduced to Tom from a referral. We met with Tom and were immediately impressed. His knowledge of the VA process and his clear love of Veterans was reassuring, and we switched our refinance over to him immediately. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Tom. He was professional, efficient, in constant communication and proactive in his actions to make sure our refinance stayed on track. It was obvious to us that his experience with VA loans was unmatched, as he knew all the regulations, where to send for information and contacts within the VA administration if clarifications were needed.

I had many obstacles thrown my way during the four months Tom, and I worked on my refinancing and Tom came through with knowledge and professionalism, going well beyond anything most would expect. We had to work with getting my social security number "fixed," getting my well water tested and working with Sallie Mae just to name a few. At each step of the way, Tom provided me with clear and concise information to help get past all the problems in a timely manner. He stuck with it, and I was the beneficiary, and I wanted to take this time to give him the credit he is due.

My experience with Tom was unlike any other. From our first phone call and finding out that I was a Vet it was like talking to my older Brother. When we first started my credit wasn't the best which worried my wife and I that we wouldn't be able to get into a house. Through Tom's advice and knowledge of the industry, he pointed me in the right direction on how to start gaining ground on my credit and get the numbers I needed to be able to be cleared for a loan. I had no idea of all the perks the VA loan actually offered and all it took was sending my DD-214 to Tom and progress immediately started. Through the six months that we worked together repairing my credit and getting all the forms and statements that we needed Tom was always a phone call away for any questions or problems I had. I had a lot of fears being a first time home owner and don't think I could have gone through it without the help of Tom. Talking at least three time a week for six months; Tom and I have built a great friendship and meeting face to face at my closing was something remarkable. Literally to the last paper was signed Tom was by my side making sure we got into the house of our dreams.
