What specific steps do you use to help your customers find the best home loan for them?
The two most important things I have my clients focus on is a comfortable and desired range for (a) monthly payment and (b) cash-to-close number. People often get caught up in their maximum purchasing power but I truly believe it's paramount to put clients in a situation where that'll be beneficial to their lifestyle.
What are the top 3 misconceptions people have about the home loan process?
That it's time consuming, stressful, and expensive. I've been on the brokerage & big bank side before coming here, which one of the main reasons I joined Guaranteed Rate is the simplicity and efficiency of their systems and processing model. What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer?
Having clients state of mind being at ease not only from the beginning of their search through the closing, but very much in the years after as well. That they have the confidence not to worry during the process AND what's going on in the mortgage world AFTER closing; because Tony's their guy. I'm always monitoring and keeping my past clients informed so they can focus on what matters to them instead of their mortgage situation.
