Lane Sears has built his mortgage career on precision, responsiveness, and trusted relationships. A Pasadena, Texas native, he brings a rare combination of big-market experience and local perspective to Houston, along with a reputation for delivering high-level service in every type of market. After attending college in the Midwest on a football scholarship, the native Texan began his career in St. Louis and later spent 25 years in Chicago, where he managed a joint venture between a major national bank and a boutique luxury real estate firm. Working closely with top-producing agents helped shape his approach to communication, collaboration, and creating a seamless experience for clients and referral partners alike. Since returning home to Texas in 2018, Lane has focused on growing Rate's presence in Houston through recruiting, expanding the local origination team, increasing market capture, and strengthening relationships with Realtor and builder partners.
