Texas DPA programs give homebuyers big benefits
The Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) provides two promising DPA programs to help homebuyers become homeowners:
Low interest rates with DPA grants
For teachers, public servants, veterans and low-to-moderate incomes.
- Low fees and no max DTI w/AUS approval
- Several DPA options available
- DPA up to 5% of the loan amount
- No DPA repayment required
- Minimum 620 credit score
Mortgage credit certificates
Up to $2,000 annually to help buyers reduce their debt-to-income.
- Reserved for first-time homebuyers
- Can be used with TSAHC's DPA
- Fixed rate mortgage products
- No minimum credit score
A lower interest rate may also be available if applicant chooses to provide the entire down payment from their own acceptable source of funds or choose to elect a lower amount of down payment assistance.
