Adam Boyd, Rate’s President of Consumer Lending, is dedicated to delivering solutions that help customers improve their financial, physical and mental well-being. He believes that Rate’s unique ability to align its strategic business goals to match customers’ personal goals puts the company in position to succeed in the financial services industry for years to come.
Before joining Rate, Adam spent the previous 13 years at Citizens Bank, most recently as Head of Consumer Lending, where he helped transform and grow its lending business into the largest home equity originator in the country. Since beginning his career in the contact center at MBNA, Adam has always kept the customer top-of-mind while also employing a data-driven approach to innovation and execution. Having worked in nearly every facet of financial services, Adam has developed a skillset that gives him a holistic view of personal finance.
With more than two decades of consumer lending and personal finance experience, Adam strives to lead a team “where everything we’re doing is in service of helping people live better lives.” He firmly believes that by being authentic and always focusing on the needs of the customer, Rate can grow its membership base while also helping customers achieve their dreams.
Adam is inspired by the passion he sees in every employee at Rate, from President & CEO Victor Ciardelli on down. “The ambition and the culture here is really what attracted me,” Adam says. “People really believe in what we’re trying to do.” Between its employees, the company culture and a strong mortgage lending foundation, he believes Rate has all the necessary ingredients for long-term success.

Outside of work, Adam is extremely proud of his wife and the five children they’ve raised together. The Delaware native is a diehard Philadelphia sports fan who also loves travelling the country to attend concerts. He’s a self-described Dave Matthews Band fanatic who’s been to more than 60 live shows and loves to spend the summer seeing their concerts at new venues.
