Kevin Tackaberry is a results-driven, people first executive who believes strong businesses are built by empowering the people behind them. As Chief Human Resources Officer at Rate, he brings decades of experience helping organizations scale, adapt and perform in fast-changing, high-growth environments. Kevin is known for his ability to quickly assess what an organization needs and translate insight into action that drives both people and performance.

Throughout his career, Kevin has led Human Resources at some of the most dynamic companies in mortgage and financial services, including loanDepot and Prospect Mortgage. He has partnered closely with executive teams during periods of rapid expansion, market volatility and transformation, building HR functions that support growth while sustaining a strong, connected culture.

Kevin’s approach is hands-on, practical and deeply collaborative. He believes HR should be an active driver of business success. “I don’t believe in being a figurehead,” Kevin says. “I want to help people succeed doing strategic, purpose-driven work that makes a difference.” His focus is on strengthening leadership, developing talent and creating clarity during times of change.

Outside of work, Kevin brings the same passion and discipline to his personal interests. A lifelong hockey player who’s been on the ice since age four, he also enjoys the occasional round of golf. He’s an avid foodie and wine enthusiast who holds a sommelier certification and loves spending time exploring Napa and beyond, always appreciating the craft behind success, whether in business, sports or winemaking.
